LogicLibrary and Reactivity Form Strategic Alliance; Partnership Combines Industry-Leading Approaches for SOA Governance, Security and Performance

Posted on: Wednesday, 31 May 2006, 09:00 CDT

LogicLibrary(R), the leader in design-time service-oriented architecture (SOA) governance and software reuse, and Reactivity(R), a leading XML enabled networking solutions provider, today announced a strategic partnership. The companies will integrate their respective products, Logidex and Reactivity's family of XML appliances, to provide customers with the ability to rapidly produce secure, high-performance services that deliver measurable business value.

Reactivity's XML appliances provide comprehensive network-based security, access enforcement, integration, routing and acceleration for XML messaging. Integrating Reactivity's XML appliances with the Logidex repository/registry will enable organizations to automate many of the tasks related to service configuration and deployment. While services are being designed, customers will be able to quickly validate that required runtime service behaviors, such as security policies and authentication rules, will be properly supported by the service implementation.

"Enterprises must be able to secure, accelerate and control XML in order to realize the full benefits of SOA and Web services--and Reactivity is the clear leader in this market," said Brent Carlson, vice president of technology at LogicLibrary. "The combination of Logidex and Reactivity Gateways will make it possible for developers to create compelling and reusable business services without spending unnecessary time integrating, securing and optimizing those services."

Logidex is a design-time integrated registry/repository with configurable governance policies that make it possible for organizations to actively track and manage services from design through deployment. Logidex features a unique combination of a repository for services production, a registry for services and artifact consumption and automated UDDI and ESB publication options. Additionally, customers can take advantage of LogicLibrary's unrivaled integration capabilities to work in the development environment of their choice as they select the appropriate service policies in Logidex.

"Partnering with leading companies like LogicLibrary helps ensure that our customers have the most reliable time to market for their SOA and Web services," said Joelle Gropper Kaufman, vice president of Reactivity. "Reactivity and LogicLibrary offer the flexibility, security and performance necessary for successful SOA and Web services initiatives."

Reactivity appliances secure, accelerate and route XML Web services and SOA message flow. Featuring extensive standards support, ranging from protocols to security standards to credentials, Reactivity XML appliances enable wire-speed policy enforcement on XML messages.
