Avaya Appoints Francis Scricco, Group Vice-President, Avaya Global Services

BASKING RIDGE, N.J., April 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Avaya Inc. , a leading global provider of communications networks and services for businesses, today announced it has appointed Francis M. Scricco, group vice president, Avaya Global Services. Scricco will lead an organization that consists of more than 7,000 services professionals who deliver end-to-end lifecycle services for voice and data networks, including business communications consulting, network design, implementation, maintenance and managed services.
Most recently, Scricco was president and chief executive officer, Arrow Electronics, one of the world's largest distributors of electronic components and computer products and a leading provider of solutions and services to the technology sector. In his five years with Arrow, he led the transformation of the company from a distributor to a supply chain services provider. This transformation required refining the value proposition, realigning resources, establishing new performance metrics and integrating acquired companies to provide better coverage of all customer segments.

Before joining Arrow, Scricco was president of Fisher Products Group, one of three operating units of Fisher Scientific International. Scricco also held senior positions at Inglis Ltd., the wholly owned Canadian subsidiary of Whirlpool Corporation; Proteon, Inc., a local area networking products company; and the General Electric Company. He began his career at The Boston Consulting Group. He received a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an M.B.A. in Marketing from Columbia University.
