Samsung BCS Dials Up Advanced VoIP and Digital Keysets
RICHARDSON, Texas, June 5 /PRNewswire/ — Who says that small- and medium- sized businesses can’t have the latest, most-advanced equipment? Or the most modern-looking technology? In order to help SMBs take full advantage of the latest in convergence technology and design, Samsung BCS has introduced a new line of Voice over IP and digital keysets. The ITP-5100 series of VoIP keysets offer SMBs an array of options from entry-level setups to large color displays while the DS-5000 digital keysets provide a more user-friendly experience.
The OfficeServ(TM) ITP-5107S, ITP-5121D and ITP-5112L utilize standard IP protocols and are compatible with all of Samsung’s converged and IP-enabled OfficeServ systems. While the ITP-5107S offers an attractive seven-button, entry-level option, the ITP-5121D offers a 21-button keyset with a navigation key for ease of feature use and the ITP-5112L offers a large, color TFT-LCD display, built-in phone book, calculator and text messaging.
The VoIP keysets are ideal for not only business office applications, but can also be used in remote office applications, such as a home office, remote agents, part-time employees or satellite offices. The keysets allow users to have the same functions at any location as they do at the main office. System expansion is facilitated easily by adding more of the keysets to a new or existing LAN. Unlike what other manufacturers require, no end-user license is required for the ITP-5100 series. MGI channels are universal and therefore, can be dynamically allocated to a variety of VoIP services. In addition to the programmable keys, all of the keysets have five fixed-function keys, a full duplex speakerphone, a number of LCD soft keys, digital volume controls, a selection of ring tones and power over Ethernet (IEEE 802.3af).
The DS-5000 series of digital keysets are a step up in design and simplicity from other digital keysets. A navigation key function makes features more user-friendly than other models while the new, sleek design offers customers the latest in “desk appeal”. Three models of the keysets – the DS-5007S, the DS-5014D and the DS-5021D – give customers options on what phone size is better suited for each individual user. All keysets are equipped with a number of programmable function buttons, three soft keys with a scroll button to guide users to variable call status options, a built-in speakerphone, message waiting lamp and caller ID display.
“For Samsung and its dealers, the new keyset families open new market opportunities by offering a multiplicity of options for more customers, while the end-user reaps the benefits of the advanced features and better performance,” said Steve Gobeli, vice president of Samsung Telecommunications America, Business Communication Systems Division.
