Harris Corporation's Wireless Message Terminal Receives JITC Certification for NATO Standards

PARIS, June 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- (Eurosatory booth 78) Harris Corporation today announced that the RF-6760W Wireless Message Terminal (WMT) software product received Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) certification for its NATO Standardization Agreement (STANAG) 5066 implementation. JITC testing was completed at the HF Test Facility in Fort Huachuca, Arizona for the Compressed File Transport Protocol (CFTP) and HF Mail Transport Protocol (HMTP) implementations as defined in NATO STANAG 5066 v1.2.

The Harris Wireless Message Terminal is deployed in more than 30 countries worldwide, including 20 NATO and 15 Partnership for Peace (PfP) nations. The software efficiently directs error-free messages, files, images, and other data from one network node to another over various transmission media including HF, VHF, UHF, or landline. Users compose and receive e-mail messages using a standard mail client such as Microsoft Outlook(R) or Outlook Express. The RF-6760W can be integrated with commercial e-mail servers to provide a complete battlefield messaging infrastructure.
