Houston County, Georgia Announces Broadband Wireless Plans with Siemens Business Services and Intel

WARNER ROBINS, Ga., April 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Houston County, Georgia officials today announced that Siemens Business Services, Inc. is joining Intel Corporation, the world's largest chip maker to deliver high- speed wireless broadband access to Houston County.
As the program business consultant, Siemens Business Services will conduct planning for the initial technology implementation in the county and will recommend an ongoing business model. Siemens Business Services creates technology solutions for the public sector that enhance the lives of citizens.

Since early August 2003, Intel has worked with local leaders to educate citizens about the benefits of a wireless community. Each local government body in the county has unanimously passed a resolution supporting the effort to make Houston County wireless.
