UC4 Software Integrates JobSolve for Optimal Critical Path Management; UC4 Partners With SourceSpring to Provide Control, Execution and Resource Utilization of Business Processes

Posted on: Tuesday, 13 June 2006, 12:00 CDT

UC4 Software, the global technology leader in enterprise job scheduling, today announced the integration of JobSolve, an innovative new module for critical path management, into UC4:global.

By identifying the processes and resources critical to meeting performance goals, JobSolve enables IT operations to continually optimize the control, execution and resource utilization of business processes in real time. JobSolve, which UC4 Software created in cooperation with SourceSpring Software, ensures that processes execute within minimum timeframes (which are mandated by service agreements) to maximize the performance of IT resources and meet broad business requirements.

"The goal of the project was to provide companies with improved understanding and management of event-controlled IT processes, which simultaneously saves enterprises money," said Vincent Stuger, senior vice president of product management and development at UC4 Software. "This further increases UC4:global's usability."

Until now, the identification and optimization of processes and resources -- critical to meeting service agreements and business requirements -- was done manually. Valuable resources were spent on training and time-consuming analysis of job definitions and historical and real-time data.

Today, JobSolve automates this process by providing out-of-the-box critical path management expertise that enables IT groups to continually visualize, optimize, model and refine business processes making it possible to significantly reduce throughput times and increase resource utilization. JobSolve ensures IT operations meet time frames stipulated by service agreements by monitoring the process flow and identifying performance issues that threaten timely completion of business critical processes.

"Analyzing business processes in a rapidly growing IT environment creates entirely new challenges for every job scheduling solution," said Stuger. "Integrating JobSolve further demonstrates UC4:global's ability handle highly complex process flows at global corporations."

"After evaluating the job scheduling market, I concluded that UC4 Software presented their customers with the robust technology and feature set to which JobSolve would be the perfect extension," said William Heinzman, president and founder of SourceSpring Software.
