Columbine Health Systems Chooses Achieve Technology Services Offering

Posted on: Tuesday, 13 June 2006, 12:01 CDT

Achieve Healthcare Technologies (www.achievehealthcare.com) recently signed a contract with Columbine Health Systems (www.columbinehealth.com) for desktop management, help desk management, technology manager and project services.

"Columbine truly understands the importance of partnering with Achieve in order to deliver cost effective infrastructure support services," said Joe Traynor, national director of sales for Achieve Healthcare Technologies. "In order to stay competitive in today's long-term care market, it is imperative to find a solid technology partner to ease the burden that some of those daily tasks place on a facility. Our offering helps facilities put the focus back on their main priority - their residents."

Joe Traynor joined Achieve in March to lead the sales efforts for Achieve's technology services division. He has more than 25 years experience in the sale and support of software and technology systems and services.

"We are delighted that Joe joined our team," said Mark Tomzak, vice president of sales and marketing for Achieve. "As the long-term care market starts to embrace these technology services, more and more elder care organizations will partner with companies that help relieve some of the onus felt by administrators and IT staff at facilities, which allows them to focus on more important priorities."

Achieve performed an infrastructure assessment for Columbine earlier this year, which resulted in Columbine's decision to move forward with Achieve's offering. "The assessment provided us with crucial information necessary for carrying out our strategic growth initiatives," said Bob Wilson, owner of Columbine Health Systems. "With the help of Achieve's offering, we are able to concentrate on our priority of providing quality care to our residents while our IT staff and Achieve focus on enhancing our infrastructure."

"The addition of these services will certainly positively impact Columbine Health Systems overall," said Mark Trumble, IT director for Columbine. "Achieve truly augments our current infrastructure and at a lower cost than what we could have done ourselves."

Although Achieve has offered technology services for several years, the company formally established a division called LTC Technology Services last year to serve the elder care industry and help prepare organizations for impending electronic health records.

In addition to LTC Technology Services, Achieve also provides software systems to the elder care market.

About Achieve Healthcare Technologies

Achieve Healthcare Technologies provides (www.achievehealthcare.com) software systems and services to approximately 2,800 long-term care facilities nationwide. Its flagship product, Achieve Matrix is a fully integrated, Web-based clinical and financial software that helps remedy long-term care challenges through highly evolved traditional functionality, such as one-button MDS transmission, electronic billing, automated flow sheets and care plan templates. In addition, Achieve Matrix offers features, such as electronic health records capabilities, mobile resident charting technology and corporate reports and dashboards. In an effort to streamline communications between caregivers, physicians and pharmacies, Achieve is piloting an e-prescribing functionality with several long-term care organizations. Achieve also formed LTC Technology Services - a division of Achieve that aims to complement a facility's current technology infrastructure.
