Posted on: Wednesday, 14 June 2006, 12:00 CDT

Neogent, Inc., a global leader in Identity and Access Management solutions, announced that it will be supporting Sun Microsystems at the upcoming Burton Group Catalyst Conference to be held in San Francisco, CA on June 14th - 16th.

Neogent is a leading partner to Sun Microsystems in Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, having performed over 75 successful implementations of Sun's Java System Identity Manager software to enterprises and institutions worldwide. Neogent is also one of Sun's leading technology and sales training partners, having delivered Neogent's SWAT Training (Intensive IAM Delivery training) across the United States as well as throughout Japan, France, Australia, Norway and India.

Neogent is also widely known for VIP, the Velocity Implementation Package. VIP is an application tool set designed to accelerate deployment and provide additional IAM related features in Sun deployments. Built on best practices and the most prevalent use cases within Enterprise and Institutional accounts, VIP enables anyone with a basic understanding of Identity Management to implement the tool. As a result, customers experience dramatically lower costs of implementation and immediate return on their investment.

Neogent has been invited by Sun Microsystems to represent Sun's partner community as well as support educating end users, analysts and consultants across the globe at the upcoming Burton Group Catalyst Conference this week. Listed as "the only conference of its kind," Catalyst provides in-depth advice from Burton Group analysts and consultants, strategies from leading technology providers and best practices from global enterprises. With two conferences taking place in 2006, (the other in Barcelona, Spain), the San Francisco event will highlight application architecture and development, collaboration and content, identity and privacy management, IT security and networks and telecommunications.

"We're pleased to support Sun's involvement in the upcoming Catalyst Conference this week. As our key strategic partner in the Identity Management space, Sun's partner focused strategy assists in helping us as we provide customers across the globe with real business value from their IT investments," said Bruce Douglas, CEO and President of Neogent, Inc. "They are the type of partner that we strive to align with."

Stay tuned in the coming weeks as Neogent will be making significant announcements with regards to the VIP product set, further enhancements and licensing options to partners and customers. "Having experienced such great success in delivering Sun's IAM products to our clients, we've also seen a real need in the market for even further enhanced capabilities around role definitions, management and auditing. We want to help enable our own partner community to deliver these solutions to enterprise customers as well," said Jess Moore, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Neogent, Inc. The upcoming announcements are scheduled for late June, 2006.
