CAP-MPT Enhances Web Site to Simplify Application Processes and Provide Greater Educational Offerings to Physicians

Posted on: Wednesday, 14 June 2006, 18:00 CDT

The Cooperative of American Physicians, Inc.-Mutual Protection Trust (CAP-MPT), a California provider of medical professional liability coverage, has unveiled an enhanced web site (www.cap-mpt.com) that offers simpler application features and more educational material while providing easier navigation for members and other physicians through a much improved design.

Prospective members of CAP-MPT can now receive a quick quote, apply online, print an application, or get a free information packet from the site's home page -- within seconds.

The improved web site offers existing members myriad educational materials on liability coverage, tools for building a medical practice, billing and coverage information, and breaking news -- from a secure "members only" area.

"Recognizing that physicians who run office practices have so little time today, we wanted to leverage available technology to make our web site as user-friendly as possible -- to ease completion of the professional liability application and offer other products and services," said James L. Weidner, CAP-MPT chief executive officer.

"An increasing number of our members are maximizing efficiency by taking advantage of the online resources now available on the revamped site," Weidner added.

CAP-MPT will expand online member offerings in the near future, noted Weidner. "We've built in flexibility so we can continue to add tools, content and functionality to the site to meet the future needs of our members."
