Cisco Systems, Scientific Atlanta and Linksys to Showcase How to ''Deliver the Connected Life'' at SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2006; Cisco and Linksys in Booth No. 1045; Scientific Atlanta in Booth No. 1681

Cisco Systems(R), Scientific Atlanta(R), a Cisco company, and Linksys(R), a division of Cisco Systems, will demonstrate how cable operators or multiple service operators (MSOs) can use industry-leading products and services to deliver "The Connected Life" at the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) annual Cable-Tec Expo from June 20-23, 2006 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colo.

Enabling providers to deliver "The Connected Life," Cisco, Scientific Atlanta and Linksys are helping MSOs fulfill the preferences of today's consumers, who are accessing all types of content (voice, video, data, and music) on televisions, personal computers and mobile devices.

Cisco, Scientific Atlanta and Linksys are demonstrating their unique ability to offer the following at SCTE Cable-Tec Expo:

-- Cisco(R) Internet Protocol Next-Generation Network (IP NGN)

architecture, an innovative, converged infrastructure that

increases operators' ability to deliver innovative new

services, decrease operational and capital expenditures, and

enhance the customer experience;

-- New Wideband technology able to deliver up to 1 gigabit per

second (Gbps) broadband speeds to consumers and businesses

over existing hybrid fiber-coaxial (HFC) networks, while at

the same time reducing costs through the use of a modular

architecture incorporating low-cost edge quadrature amplitude

modulation (QAM) devices;

-- Integrated switch routers and high-speed wide area network

interface cards which greatly expand and simplify cable

operators' commercial service offerings for small to

medium-size businesses (SMBs) and enterprise branch offices;

-- Powerful encoding solutions to deliver high video

coding/quality, even at low-bit rates, and expand the value of
