Posted on: Thursday, 22 April 2004, 06:00 CDT

Total Program is Expected to Be in Excess of $1.5 Million

¶ MicroTel International Inc. (OTCBB:MCTL), an international manufacturer of defense and aerospace electronic components and subsystems and communication equipment, today announced that its French subsidiary, CXR Anderson Jacobson ("CXR-AJ"), has secured orders via a major system integrator to supply its multi-service multiplexers and fiber optic transmission equipment to the French army. ¶ An initial release of $100,000 is a milestone for CXR-AJ, which ensures that the company has secured a key position as a major supplier for this new program to modernize the French military missiles and tactical equipment centers. ¶ Eric Piaget, director of sales and marketing for CXR-AJ, stated: "Our relationship with the French army continues to expand and this latest program demonstrates the ability of CXR-AJ to present innovative solutions using the latest communication technology. This new program will utilize our new range of multi-service and fiber optic transmission equipment to integrate a combination of analogue, asynchronous, legacy and special applications into MAN (metropolitan area network), Intranet or wireless infrastructures while preserving the accuracy and integrity of those applications. CXR-AJ's products have again proven to be the product of choice in this demanding military environment."¶ Graham Jefferies, executive vice president of MicroTel International commented: "The defense market has proven successful for both MicroTel's Electronic Components business segment and our Telecommunications business segment. The defense market continues to be a strategic focus for MicroTel. We now have several new products integrated into various systems directly for the French army, air force and navy, and indirectly through several major system integrators. With these new products CXR-AJ now has access to a much broader range of potential business in a buoyant market driven by the ever growing demand by military forces for more real-time information, security and interoperability of legacy and new technologies."
