Ounce Labs, the leader in software security assurance, today announced it has appointed Claudia Dent as Senior Vice President of Product Marketing. Dent has over 20 years of success in the software industry, helping companies achieve product and market leadership worldwide. A Vice President for the IBM Rational Division and for Rational Software before it was purchased by IBM, her experience is especially strong in the automated software development and testing markets.
"Watching the evolution of the software development lifecycle and automated tools, it's clear to me that software security assurance is currently a major challenge that organizations need to address," said Dent. "I joined Ounce because they are well-positioned to provide continued leadership in this space, with superior technology and consistent customer success. I'm happy to be joining such an experienced management team and working with them to extend the company's success."
Dent's executive experience includes positions in product marketing, product management, and business development. Among many achievements, she guided Rational's ClearCase product to earn the highest share of the software configuration management market and later helped drive explosive revenue growth for the Rational Suite product line.
"Claudia has demonstrated a remarkable understanding of the enterprise software market and has managed extremely successful product strategies throughout her career," said Hugh Scandrett, CEO of Ounce Labs. "Her experience specifically with automated software development technologies will be a great asset for our team, helping to ensure that our products continue to satisfy customers as we meet aggressive increases in market demand."
