Jun. 18--RADIO STATIONS' POSSIBLE BUYERS LISTED IN INDUSTRY PUBLICATION: Already, there's national speculation over the future of local radio stations KTSA and Jack FM.

See, a few weeks ago, CBS Radio announced that it would "explore the divesture" of radio stations in smaller markets, including news-talk 550 AM and KJXK (102.7 FM).

What's new is that a recent article in Billboard Radio Monitor magazine is giving some more pointed speculation.

A few days ago, it came out with a story listing all the different CBS stations and likely buyers.

According to that publication, potential buyers for the two San Antonio stations include Citadel Broadcasting Corp., a radio company that specializes in medium-sized markets; Salem Radio Network, which specializes in religious programming and conservative news-talk; Lotus Radio Group, broadcasters based in Nevada; and Davidson Media Group, a radio group that focuses on emerging Hispanic markets.

So far, it's all up in the air.

LOCAL LANDMARK: The coolest building in the city is getting even more raves for its design.

"TravelSmart," a subscription-only newsletter for travelers, selected the Central Library as one of 15 "New Landmark American Libraries."

In other words, more recently built structures.

The listing commended the work of architect Ricardo Legorreta and made special note of a mural from local artist Jesse Treviño and "the vibrant external colors (that) give this library an authentic San Antonio feeling."

Yeah, we know some people still don't like it. Sorry.

EASTERN NEIGHBOR: Two San Antonio culinary stars are among the featured celebrities at Wine Week in the Woodlands, a food and wine festival in the Houston area.

Diana Barrios Treviño of Los Barrios restaurant and chef and caterer Michael Flores are taking part in the seven-day festival in the city north of Houston.

The festival begins Monday.

WATER WRITES: If Champaign, Ill., has the best-tasting water, then San Antonio can at least claim one of the country's best water-related newsletters.

The San Antonio River Authority's community newsletter, River Reach, received some national love -- a Bronze Anvil Award from the national Public Relations Society of America.

Representatives from the organization accepted the award earlier this month at a ceremony in New York.

In case you missed it, the Champaign District of Illinois American Water won a taste test during last week's American Water Works Association meeting here.
