Kabira Sets Out New Global Alliance Strategy to Target Telecom and Financial Services Growth

Posted on: Wednesday, 21 June 2006, 03:00 CDT

Kabira Technologies Inc., a leader in high-performance transaction processing software for global enterprises, today launched a new global alliance strategy for systems integrators and OEMs designed to grow its presence in the telecommunications, financial services, and online exchange markets. The effort is a key part of Kabira's new strategy to deliver industry-specific transaction processing solutions for the rapidly accelerating needs of real-time, always-on business models.

Kabira is launching its Kabira Strategic Alliance program with two levels of support for partners locally and globally. Partners will benefit from new dedicated resources to accelerate their certification and expertise with Kabira products. The program will aid partners in demonstrating Kabira products, establish a local Kabira competency center, and provide mentoring by Kabira architects. Kabira will also provide training, pre-sales support and joint marketing events.

The program is designed to support both system integrators and OEM/solution partners on a local and global basis. Kabira will work proactively with these partners on new revenue generation opportunities such as the development of IP Multimedia Subsystems (IMS) and unique services convergence for telecom, financial services and online exchanges. Companies interested in participating in the program can contact Kabira at partners@kabira.com.

Kabira will announce the first set of partners who have joined the Strategic Alliance program later this year. Currently, Kabira is working with some of its key existing partners to move them into the Strategic Alliance program. Over the last 10 years, Kabira has established alliances with some of the top technology providers and systems integrators including Alcatel, CapGemini, Hitachi, NTT DATA, Motorola, Sun and other industry leaders.

Kabira's new partner initiative will be led by Philippe Lavigne, recently appointed Director of Alliances for EMEA. He joins Kabira from Portal Software where he successfully acted as European Alliances Director from 2000 to 2003, and then as Global Accounts Sales Director for EMEA.

Speaking about the program, Lavigne said: "As a technology and product company we are committed to working with partners to bring our high performance transaction processing solutions to market. The new program provides access to expertise and tools that enable a partner to win commercial advantage and tap new revenue sources in telecom, including markets where terminal and network convergence is rapidly transforming the industry and creating demand for our technology."

About Kabira's Products

Kabira's Transaction Platform(TM) and Accelerator(TM) products provide highly effective solutions for organizations confronting today's market demand for real-time transaction processing. Its unique Transaction Optimized Services (TM) technology is the "secret sauce" that enables Kabira to do so much more for less. A 64-bit memory-resident platform, Kabira can execute more than 50,000 transactions per second running on standard commodity hardware. Since Kabira supports real-time data, transactions, applications, and connectivity in high-speed memory, transactions execute up to 100 times faster than with systems relying on disks. This inherent service-oriented approach to transaction processing is ideal for today's SOA-based business applications and services that require flexibility, scalability, reliability and maximum performance.
