Globecomm Systems and Harris Corporation Achieve Major Milestone in Support of the Federal Aviation Administration FTI-Sat Program

Globecomm Systems Inc. (NASDAQ:GCOM), a global provider of end-to-end value-added satellite-based communications solutions, announced today that the Company, working in concert with Harris Corporation, has achieved a major milestone in support of the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Telecommunications Infrastructure (FTI) program.

Recently, Harris Corporation announced that it achieved site acceptance of the first satellite communications site as part of the U.S. FAA FTI program. The Key West, Fla.-based satellite site is the first of 42 sites that Harris and Globecomm will upgrade with new satellite communications equipment through its FTI Satellite program.
