RLX Names Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Communications

HOUSTON, April 5 /PRNewswire/ -- RLX Technologies, Inc, a leading provider of server blade and modular compute technologies, today announced that it named Tejas Vakil, a 23-year industry veteran of Dell, Compaq, and Tandem, as vice president of worldwide marketing and corporate communications. Reporting to Douglas J. Erwin, president and CEO, Vakil is responsible for strategic product marketing and corporate communications.

Vakil's experience includes more than 23 years of experience in computers where he has seen the industry evolve from proprietary mainframes and superminicomputers to today's Intel-based commodity servers. Most recently, Vakil was at Surgient, a virtualization software solutions company. Prior to Surgient, Tejas was Vice President of Server & Storage systems for Dell Europe, Middle East, and Africa where he spearheaded the company's growth in servers to a #2 position in the market. He has also held senior positions at Compaq, Tandem, Sequent, and AT&T. Tejas holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Madras, India, an MS in Computer Science from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, and an MBA from the University of Iowa.
