Broadband Communications Company Poised to Become Leading IP Video Provider to Over 20,000 Residential and Municipal Subscribers

Pannaway Technologies, Inc., designers and developers of next-generation, converged IP broadband systems to telecommunications companies, today announced that Warwick Valley Telephone Company (WVTC), one of New York's most established communications providers has selected and deployed its multi award-winning Service Convergence Network (SCN(TM)) IP access platform for the delivery of next-generation Triple Play services to residential and municipal broadband subscribers in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

WVTC, a 104-year old Independent Local Exchange Carrier (ILEC) and Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC), is currently delivering high-bandwidth Triple Play broadband services over a combination of Pannaway's Active Ethernet fiber-to-the-premise (FTTP) and ADSL2+ technologies to their CLEC territory. In the company's second phase of deployment, Triple Play services which include traditional telephony, voice over IP (VoIP), high-speed data and HDTV will be made available to approximately 20,000 additional subscribers in surrounding areas.

WVTC is one of a growing number of IOC (Independent Operating Company) and CLEC (Competitive Local Exchange Carrier) service providers that have chosen to deploy Pannaway's SCN access solution at the core if its broadband network. Other SCN users include Cross Telephone of Oklahoma, Allendale Communications of Michigan, Empire Telephone of New York, Bruce Municipal of Ottawa Canada and KPU of Ketchikan Alaska.

"The competitive landscape for broadband services, especially digital television is fierce in our region", said Keith Scarzafava, Director of Network Technology at Warwick Valley Telephone Company. "The flexibility and scalability of Pannaway's SCN platform allows us to deliver unrivaled communications and entertainment services ensuring our future success and competitive standing."

WVTC's new next-generation network consists of Pannaway's Broadband Aggregation Routers (BAR(TM)) which deliver Gigabit Ethernet-based transport with the capacity to scale to 10Gbps, ADSL2+ and Active Ethernet fiber Broadband Access Switches (BAS(TM)) and Residential Gateway NIDs (RGN(TM)). Pannaway's SCN platform delivers full Triple Play service capability in one tightly integrated solution that leverages the simplest and most scalable access technologies available - IP and Ethernet.

Scarzafava adds, "The one thing that impressed us the most about Pannaway's highly manageable IP system was how quickly and easily it deployed."

Pannaway's highly acclaimed Broadband Access Manager (BAM(TM)) is also being used by WVTC to simplify the deployment, provisioning and ongoing management of its new copper and fiber-based broadband equipment and services.

"Pannaway's goal has been to provide our telco customers with an affordable, single platform that deploys quickly and delivers a full range of high-bandwidth services", said Kevin Brown, Vice President of Marketing for Pannaway. "We're extremely pleased that our efforts are helping service providers like WVTC to compete more effectively while improving their bottom line."
