Sun Java(TM) Desktop System Now Available on Web Site of the Nation's Leading Retailer

SANTA CLARA, Calif., April 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Sun Microsystems, Inc. today announced that the Java(TM) Desktop System, a comprehensive, secure and highly affordable desktop solution, is now available at Walmart.com on Microtel Computer Systems personal computers (PC).

With the launch of this product offering on Walmart.com, customers now have the ability to choose from a number of Microtel configurations running the Java Desktop System, enabling them to find a solution that fits their computing needs. Prices range from $298 to $698 and are available with an AMD or Intel processor running at 1.6GHz to 3.0 gigahertz. The Java Desktop System/Microtel PC is available at http://www.walmart.com/ or at http://www.java.com/walmart . Java.com is the global market destination for end-users of Java content, showcasing the latest Java applications to more than seven million monthly visitors.
