Russian Radio Stations Drop U.S. Radio

Radio stations in Russia are being forced to stop broadcasting news reports paid for by the U.S. government.
More than 60 stations have been ordered by Russian regulators to stop using news produced by Voice of America and Radio Free Europe, commonly known as Radio Liberty, The Washington Post reports.
The move comes despite efforts by U.S. diplomats and officials at the two services to arrive at a compromise that would keep U.S.-produced news available to the millions of Russians who tune in regularly.
Senior executives at Voice of America and Radio Liberty told the Post they believe the Kremlin is behind the crackdown.
