Globecomm Systems Awarded $1.0 Million Infrastructure Contract; Gateway to Be Utilized for the Transport of International Telephony, Data Traffic and Digital TV Reception

Globecomm Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: GCOM), a global provider of end-to-end value-added satellite-based communications solutions, today announced that the Company has been awarded a $1.0 million infrastructure contract to be installed in a country in Western Africa.
Pursuant to the contract, Globecomm will design, test and install a 9.3 Meter satellite earth station and all the related subsystems. The customer, an existing PTT in the country, will utilize this new gateway for the delivery of international telephony, IP-based data traffic and digital television reception.
