Turbolinux Introduces Exclusive Reseller Partnership Program for Versatile TLAS2.0 Internet Server Configuration Tool
Posted on: Friday, 7 July 2006, 15:00 CDT
Turbolinux, Inc., a global leader of Linux-based solutions, today announced an Exclusive Reseller Partnership Program (ERPP) for its new, high performance Internet server configuration tool known as "Turbolinux Appliance Server 2.0 (TLAS2.0)". Designed to optimize Internet servers such as Web, Mail and DNS, the user-friendly TLAS2.0 enables users to easily configure and access the Internet. TLAS2.0 enables small and medium size enterprises who do not have system administrators to start Web or Mail services quickly. One of the more notable features of TLAS2.0 is its uncomplicated "user interface," which is based on the open source BlueQuartz, derived from the open source Sun Cobalt GUI released by Sun Microsystems.
"It has been three years since Sun discontinued Cobalt sales; however, nearly ten percent of world web sites still use Cobalt," noted Koichi Yano, president and CEO of Turbolinux. "As Cobalt's only successor product, TLAS2.0 offers enhanced features for existing Cobalt users, and for a huge potential customer base of new users who require easy server configuration and web site management."
Additionally, Turbolinux is offering an Exclusive Reseller Partnership Program in conjunction with the TLAS2.0 product release. The ERPP targets worldwide distributors (excluding Japan, China and India) -- particularly vendors experienced with Cobalt -- who have the capacity to market and provide support to their users. The annual sales commitment would be required. Regions include North America, South America, the European Union, Southeast Asia and Oceania.
To apply for ERPP, interested vendors should first send an e-mail to tlas_partnership_program@turbolinux.com to receive detailed information and an application. ERPP partners will be determined by August 31, 2006, and the partnership program will commence on October 1, 2006.
