Apptix's TECOS Software Excels in Microsoft Partner Solutions Center Scalability and Performance Testing

STERLING, Va., May 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Apptix today reported that its TECOS(R) service automation and management software demonstrated superior performance and scalability in recent Microsoft Partner Solutions Center (MPSC) tests. The TECOS software is a key element in Apptix's solution that enables service providers and resellers to cost-effectively deliver software as a service to a wide range of customers.

The Microsoft Partner Solutions Center tests showed that TECOS software scaled reliably, as it scaled from 12,500 service provider customers each with 250,000 end-users, to 50,000 service provider customers each with more than one million users. Based on the testing results, TECOS running on a single server scaled up to five million end-users, demonstrating that TECOS can easily meet the needs of service providers with large enterprise customers, as well as other types of customers. With TECOS inherent high scalability and performance, a single server running TECOS can easily support up to 20 million users, and a cluster of servers can handle a limitless number of users.

According to Apptix's Chief Technology Officer Jeff Hagins, the MPSC tests showed that TECOS running on a single server can reliably handle more than 770,000 transactions per day, demonstrating its vast transaction volume capacity. MPSC test transactions for TECOS included creating a new user subscriber and provisioning Microsoft Exchange, deleting subscriptions to the service, and resetting user passwords.

"The successful TECOS testing performed by Microsoft shows that service providers can rely on TECOS as the service management framework for the delivery of applications in an on-demand computing model," said Hagins.
