Innerwall and Microsoft Deliver Network Access Protection; Collaborative Agent Software Ensures Safe Network Access
Posted on: Tuesday, 11 July 2006, 12:00 CDT
Innerwall, Inc., a leading provider of network access control and endpoint security solutions, today announced its decision to work with Microsoft to jointly develop world class Network Access Protection (NAP) solutions.
Network Access Protection provides a comprehensive platform infrastructure that allows system administrators to monitor and control computer access to corporate networks as well as update non-compliant computers. Innerwall will leverage key aspects of this platform in its access control solutions.
As more and more computers are connecting to the network from remote and often unprotected locations such as hotel rooms and coffee shops, it is necessary to ensure that only "healthy" computers are granted access to corporate networks. "The value to companies who employ Innerwall's access control solutions is unparalleled," said Tom Danner, Innerwall VP of Product Strategy and Management. "Controlled access coupled with monitoring, managing and remediating computers once on the network ensures end-to-end protection of corporate and customer information, online transactions and one's identity. Working in tandem with Microsoft will give us a competitive advantage in delivering these solutions."
Through broad partnerships with industry leaders in fields such as anti-virus, patch management and systems management, Network Access Protection will deliver comprehensive, end-to-end solutions that protect corporate assets, control the spread of viruses and ensure policy compliance.
