Galorath Announces SEER-SEM(TM) With SEER-CriticalMass(TM) Receives the Ready for IBM Rational Software Validation

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., July 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Galorath Incorporated, the leading provider of advanced modeling tools for project estimation, planning and project control, announced that SEER-SEM with SEER-CriticalMass has received IBM's Ready for IBM Rational software validation. This designation indicates that SEER-SEM meets IBM's requirements for integration with the IBM Rational Software Development Platform -- IBM Rational Systems Developer, IBM Rational Software Architect, IBM Rational Software Modeler, and IBM Rational Rose. With this tool, IBM Rational users are now able to:

* Estimate software size with speed and ease. * Automate the process of making complex, scope-tested cost and technical tradeoffs. * Quantify the impact of using one technical approach over another. * Anticipate risk for a project.

SEER-CriticalMass generates software size estimates from use cases specified in the IBM Rational toolset. This information is used to estimate a Use Case Point (UCP) count. Unlike other tools, in which UCPs generally are available only at the system rollup level, SEER-CriticalMass produces a detailed UCP range for each use case. SEER-SEM can then be used to provide insight into the project's cost, schedule, effort, risk and reliability and ultimately to create a detailed project plan against which project performance may be monitored and controlled.
