Metrobility Optical Systems Adds Network Entrepreneur to Board of Directors

Metrobility Optical Systems today announced that Malik Z. Khan, founder and CEO of Sitara Networks, has been appointed to Metrobility's Board of Directors.
"Malik's track record in bringing solutions for telecommunication service providers and enterprise customers to market speaks for itself. His extensive background in founding and funding high tech startup companies makes him a valuable addition to Metrobility's Board of Directors. This entrepreneurial background will help to guide Metrobility's business strategy and future direction," stated Alex Saunders, Metrobility's president and chief executive officer.
As "entrepreneur-in-residence" at OneLiberty Ventures, Khan founded two internet startup companies, Indus River and Sitara Networks. Indus River was sold to Cabletron in 2000. As former vice president and general manager of Motorola's Network System Division, Khan brings over twenty years of experience in the development of high-speed communication networks.
Khan is a graduate of MIT and has an MBA from Harvard Business School. He is an active alumnus of Harvard Business School where he speaks to MBA candidates on entrepreneurial topics and is a member of The Indus Entrepreneur (TIE) and the Organization of Pakistani Entrepreneurs (OPEN).
