Business Technology Management Corporation (BTM Corporation) Launches BTM Government Solutions

Posted on: Monday, 24 July 2006, 12:00 CDT

Business Technology Management Corporation (BTM Corporation) announced today that it has launched BTM Government Solutions to bring business and technology together within government agencies. The announcement follows a recently established strategic partnership with Omega Technologies, Inc., a leading public sector solutions provider based in Fairfax, Virginia.

In 2003, BTM Corporation began its R&D efforts in the government at the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) in support of their Federal Enterprise Architecture Program Management Office (FEA-PMO) and Presidential Priority E-Gov Initiatives. BTM Corporation also participated extensively in a 2004 GAO study focused on defining public sector Chief Information Officer (CIO) responsibilities and how to leverage best-practice information and technology governance from leading private-sector companies.

In 2004, BTM Corporation established the French Social Security Agency (CNAV) as their first international public sector customer. In the U.S., BTM further increased their public sector customer list with the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) within the Department of Energy (DOE) to document Enterprise Architecture in conjunction with FEA standards. Based on this collective experience and a solid history with G2000 customers such as JPMorgan, Marriott, PACCAR, PepsiCo and others, BTM Government Solutions were developed to dramatically improve business technology management maturity within government organizations while increasing their ability to withstand regulatory scrutiny and compliance audits ranging from OMB to FEA to HIPAA and Graham-Leach-Bliley, among others.

BTM Government Solutions are a set of pre-packaged research, platform, and direction that create more effective processes for converging business and technology in order to achieve strategic goals while incorporating the unique operating and regulatory environment facing public sector organizations today. They enable Consistent Execution and Measurement, Strategic Technology Investments, Governance and Organizational Design, Strategic Enterprise Architecture and more.

Founded in 1991 by President and CEO Patricia Williams, Omega Technologies focuses on delivering business solutions within the federal government, with customers that include the U.S. Air Force, Internal Revenue Service, National Institutes of Health and Department of Energy, among others.

By leveraging BTM Corporation's strategic partnership with Omega Technologies, the first BTM adoption begins with the U.S. Department of Treasury. The initial cycle of work is focused on developing and delivering department-wide OMB Exhibit 300 business cases for Enterprise Architecture, Portfolio and Program Management, and other high priority items.
