As part of the publication's annual Top-Performing Companies study, IS&S was awarded the top spot for companies with revenues of $250 million or less based on its cash flow return on investment, asset utilization, operating performance and financial health.

"It is an honor to be recognized as the Top-Performing Company in our category," says Geoffrey S.M. Hedrick, Chairman and CEO of IS&S. "This acknowledgment is a testament to our commitment and the efforts of our employees to deliver the highest quality avionics equipment and services that has garnered the loyalty and support of our customers."

The Company currently anticipates its backlog of orders for its innovative Cockpit/IP(TM) Flat Panel Display System will reach record levels by the end of its current fiscal year, September 30, 2006. The Company's Cockpit/IP solution is increasingly penetrating the entire aircraft retrofit market with installations on Lear and Citation business jets, Pilatus PC-12's, B-747's, B-767's, KDC-10's, and C-130's as well as the recent award of a B-737 contract.

Aviation Week & Space Technology's Top-Performing Companies study was undertaken by the publication in partnership with Credit Suisse HOLT, a division of Credit Suisse; principals of Deloitte Consulting aerospace/defense practice; High Strategy Ltd., a London-based aerospace/defense advisory group, which provided a European perspective, and Project Manager Michael K. Lowry, a former equity analyst. The project team analyzed performance of publicly traded aerospace/defense companies and airlines during fiscal years ending no later than March 31, 2006, and based their calculations on four measures: Cash Flow Return on Investment, Asset Utilization, Operating Performance and Financial Health. Companies were ranked in four revenue categories: revenues greater than $5 billion, revenues between $1 - 5 billion, revenues between $250 million - $1 billion, and revenues less than $250 million.
