Secluda Technologies partners with Sun Microsystems, Inc. Global Education and Research Group offering a unique, leading edge technology to meet real customer needs by preventing the delivery of unwanted e-mail, providing tools for IT staff to protect their e-mail infrastructure from e-mail threats, and ensure the reliability of e-mail operation.
Secluda's product, the AP Intelligent Mail Switch(TM) will allow Sun SPARC(R) Solaris(TM) and Linux customers to:
-- Ensure delivery of all wanted e-mail
-- Prevent delivery of spam and unwanted e-mail
-- Eliminate problems caused by anti-spam technologies including the mislabeling of wanted e-mail as spam, and the negative impact on IT resources
-- Provide perimeter defense and keep all unwanted e-mail outside the network
"Through Sun's relationship with Secluda our education customers now have a powerful and easy-to-use solution to combat the problems of e-mail communication created by spam or unwanted e-mail, and the unintended negative consequences of anti-spam technologies," said Larry Nelson, Global Group Manager, Sun Microsystems. "Sun's channel and integration partners have a powerful, easy to deploy solution to resolve the most troublesome e-mail problems and ensure their customers' e-mail communication and infrastructure reliability."
Dalton Bly, Director of IT Services for ESD101 - located in Spokane, Washington and providing services to more than 96,000 students in 230 individual schools - reports: "Secluda's product, impressively, met all our and our clients' needs; but in the end the most important features turned out to be the simplicity of operation, short user learning curve, and the ease of deployment. ESD101 was able to:
-- Reduce infrastructure complexity
-- Enforce global policies but allow the details to be managed by the user
-- Allow the user to decide what is spam or unwanted e-mail
-- Eliminate false positives caused by our current filter
-- Increase reliability of our e-mail, especially protecting against volume e-mail attacks"
The AP Intelligent Mail Switch is available on Sun's SPARC, Solaris platform, and Linux operating systems supported by Sun as well as Windows, Linux and Mac OS X.
