PredatorWatch Files Enterprise Security Management Patent

Posted on: Monday, 24 May 2004, 06:00 CDT

PredatorWatch, Inc. announced today that Dr. John Magnus, Chief Scientist has completed a major milestone in his ongoing research on new enterprise security management methodologies.

"This will enable PredatorWatch to provide significant offerings to the network management equipment market, in a $0.6 billion segment predicted to grow to $1 billion by 2006," said Gary S. Miliefsky, the Company's President.

"In view of the foregoing disadvantages inherent in the known network management equipment marketplace and now present in all related prior art, I am pleased to have completed the first phase of my ongoing research in this field," stated Dr. Magnus.

"I am pleased that his years of research in the enterprise security field have led to this unique discovery. Dr. Magnus has continued to advance our intellectual property portfolio in a very critical area for our customers and partners," said Michael Su, Vice President of Engineering. "We will roll this capability into the upcoming release of the Auditor(TM). The end result will be more powerful ways to manage servers and desktops. This will not only support IT Manager efforts to stop hackers, CIO efforts to protect assets and CFO efforts to comply with regulations but will also enhance productivity and network reliability," said Mr. Su.

About PredatorWatch, Inc.

PredatorWatch, Inc. is an enterprise security management company. It provides products that both help IT managers to secure computer networks, and enable their executive management to certify that they have done so in compliance with GLBA, HIPAA, FDA CFR 21 Part 11, and Sarbanes-Oxley Part 404.

The PredatorWatch "Auditor(TM)" is a turnkey appliance that audits the computers on a network against the federally-funded list of "Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures" maintained by the Mitre Corporation. Its internal security audit results stay internal to that network, but it does receive the latest CVE Updates from outside via the Company's subscription service.

PredatorWatch, Inc. was founded in 2003 to commercialize the patent-pending results of a previous two-year program of information security technology development, and is privately held. PredatorWatch, Inc. is an IBM Business Partner.
