Broadband Nexus Offers Casual and Family Game Online Subscriptions in the U.K. With Clickhere2play.Com
Posted on: Monday, 31 July 2006, 06:00 CDT
Online digital entertainment studio Broadband Nexus has launched a new family online service under the clickhere2play.com brand. Unlike websites which offer free Flash or full-priced downloadable games, clickhere2play.com allows any family member to instantly access games worth thousands of pounds for a low monthly subscription with no lock-in period. Families have unlimited access to all the titles on offer, categorized into multiple channels and bundled into a single subscription. Easy-to-use parental controls ensure peace of mind; children can only play games and software suitable for their age group. After two years developing this innovative product, Broadband Nexus is eager to make online games as easy to access as television.
Broadband Nexus Managing Director Alun Williams, enthusiastic about the service, remarked, "If you've ever bought a game that you didn't like and that left you feeling like you've wasted your money, then this is the website for you." Mr. Williams goes on to say, "I'm very excited that clickhere2play.com is now available throughout the UK. We will expand to additional countries in the very near future. The service will be kept fresh with constant updates and additions to each channel. We are planning several other complimentary developments." Broadband access is required to use the service.
The patented technology being utilized to deliver games and software is provided by Stream Theory of Irvine, California. Stream Theory is a leading supplier of software streaming technology for delivering and managing software applications worldwide over IP and digital media.
"clickhere2play.com is the first commercially available site in Europe using our streaming technology," said Steig Westerberg, CEO of Stream Theory. "Our partnership with Broadband Nexus is paving the way for consumers to get real software value for their money. For nearly two years, our technology has been used by Japan's largest broadband provider to deliver a variety of streaming content to consumers, Westerberg continued."
