Apricorn, the leader in personal storage, is pleased to announce its newest member of the Aegis family, the Aegis Portable. The second product available from the Aegis family line, the Aegis Portable is a 2.5" external hard drive and backup system for both PC and Mac notebooks. Featuring an integrated USB cable (FireWire version available mid-August), this pocket-sized, bus-powered drive eliminates the need for additional cables, allowing the user to be connected at the flick of a fingertip.
Available in storage capacities of 40GB, 80GB, 120GB and 160GB, the Aegis Portable maximizes the storage capability of your system, allowing room for large files such as photos, music and video. Weighing in at just 5.5 ounces, its ultra-portable design, integrated cable and extensive shock mounting make it perfect for safe transport between home and office or on travel for business or pleasure.
"The Aegis Portable is our newest addition to the Aegis line of quick, compact, rugged and reliable portable storage solutions," said Mike McCandless, Apricorn's Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "This high capacity drive provides ample space for virtually any application and the proprietary software bundle enables users to synchronize their systems for backup or file sharing between multiple computers. In one simple step users are ensured all their data is always up-to-date, accurate and safe, no matter where they take it."
