‘Best of CeBIT America’ Award Goes to NEC Solutions
NEW YORK, May 26 /PRNewswire/ — CeBIT America, the premier information and communications technology (ICT) event for the enterprise business marketplace, eWeek and PC Magazine today announced that the second annual “Best of CeBIT America” Award was presented to NEC Solutions Disaster Recovery Fault Tolerant Solution. The award was accepted by NEC Solutions’ President and Chief Executive Officer, Toshimitsu Iwanami, this afternoon in an awards ceremony on the show floor.
The NEC Solutions Disaster Recovery Fault Tolerant Solution is a powerful disaster recovery solution built on NEC’s Fault Tolerant Servers and their ExpressCluster Software, which ensures applications keep running even when a datacenter goes down.
Products and services were evaluated for innovation, technical breakthrough, and creativity of design, as judged by the editorial and labs staffs of eWEEK and PC Magazine, both leading Ziff Davis Media publications. Eligible products were announced on or after February 1, 2004, are available for public viewing at CeBIT America, and are scheduled to ship to customers on or before July 31, 2004.

appliances (other than storage- and security-specific appliances);

category, covering SAN hardware and software, NAS hardware and

Platform Software category, covering network operating systems,
databases, application servers, mail servers, instant messaging, load
balancing software, directory systems, application frameworks and
software development/QA/deployment tools;
* Secure Systems Enterprise Data Vault was conferred the award in the
Enterprise Systems Defense category, covering a uthentication and
access control systems, PKI, intrusion detection/prevention systems,
fire-walls and VPN software/appliances, wireless LAN security
software/appliances, encryption and security scanners, anti-virus
products, security appliances, backup and restore, UPSs;
* NetSupport DNA 1.01 was conferred the award in the Enterprise Systems
Management category, covering network and server monitoring systems,
network management systems, business process management systems,
software distribution and centralized management tools, diagnostic
tools, patch management software, wireless sniffers;
* Serious Magic Visual Communicator was conferred the award in the
Enterprise Applications category, covering online meeting and
conferencing software, CRM, ERP, supply-chain management systems,
help-desk systems, data integration servers, online storefront systems,
analytic systems, knowledge management solutions, portals, enterprise
collaboration tools, data analysis and reporting tools, forecasting
systems, finance tools, document and content management;
* XMS-PubliCast was conferred the award in the Mobile and Wireless
Devices category, covering phones, PDAs, wireless services for
consumers;
* Iomega Rev 35 was conferred the award in the Personal Hardware
category, covering display devices, personal/SOHO storage devices,
gadgets; and,
* Mindjet MindManager X5 Professional was conferred the award in the
Personal Software category, covering personal/SOHO software, games,
consumer-oriented Web sites and services.
