Axis Computer Systems, a subsidiary of Made2Manage Systems and provider of enterprise resource planning software for the metals, wire and cable industries, has reported that Champlain Cable has selected its Axiom enterprise resource management system for Wire Expo 2006.
Axis says its system, which runs on a Hewlett-Packard Unix server and a network of Windows PCs, provides support for all key aspects of the business from sales, production quality and financial management, to integrated we-based customer service, advanced planning and scheduling, and decision support.
Champlain Cable has used an early version of Axis software since 1989, but says the latest version has new cable-specific enterprise resource planning (ERP) functionality.
The manufacturer will implement the ERP system as well as the Axiom eSuite web-based customer service application and financial reporting and analysis capabilities.
