Digital Lightwave Announces Delo Services As a Certified Digital Lightwave Equipment Service Center for Europe

Digital Lightwave(R), Inc. (Nasdaq:DIGL), a leading provider of optical networking technology and test instruments, today announced the certification of Delo Services, headquartered in Milan, Italy, as the first regional Digital Lightwave Equipment Service Center. The certification allows Delo to receive, repair and calibrate Digital Lightwave's fiber optic testing equipment.
"Our sales volume has grown considerably in Europe and elsewhere internationally," said Michael Riddick, Vice President of Sales. "As a commitment to our European customers, Digital Lightwave is providing top quality in region, repair and calibration through Delo's service center."
Companies providing equipment and services for European telecommunication networks have been early adopters of Next Generation Network (NGN) technologies. Digital Lightwave has previously announced product developments that allow test and analysis of such NGN technologies as Generic Framing Procedure (GFP), Link Capacity Adjustment Scheme (LCAS), and Virtual Concatenation (VCAT).
High demand for the new Digital Lightwave test equipment and technologies coming from Europe and other parts of the world has resulted in increased global sales and the need for regionalized service and support. Digital Lightwave is currently in contract negotiations to open regional service centers in Asia and the Middle East.
