Posted on: Tuesday, 24 June 2003, 06:00 CDT

REDMOND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 24, 2003--AT&T Wireless (NYSE:AWE):

-- Sponsorship builds on AT&T Wireless' leadership in

wireless-based entertainment services

-- Customers have exclusive access to movie passes, games,

ringtones, screensavers, and more

Starting today, millions of Lara Croft fans can follow the latest exploits of this hard-hitting action heroine right from their AT&T Wireless phones.

In advance of the motion picture release of "Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life" on July 25, 2003, AT&T Wireless is launching a comprehensive co-marketing program that will give its customers exclusive access to a variety of mobile content from the successful movie and videogame franchise.

With box office receipts totaling more than $250 million dollars worldwide, the first Tomb Raider film, starring Angelina Jolie, was the largest-grossing film with a single, lead female character in motion picture history. The Tomb Raider videogame franchise is one of the word's most popular having sold more than 25 million copies to date. Now, AT&T Wireless customers have access to text message-based trivia, ringtones, graphics, games, and movie trailers based on the movie's upcoming sequel and the latest videogame release, Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness. In addition, through August 31, 2003, customers who purchase either a monthly text messaging plan for $4.99 or higher or an mMode plan for $7.99 or higher will receive one free adult ticket to "Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life."

"Once again, AT&T Wireless is combining the best of Hollywood with the best of wireless," said Andre Dahan, president of AT&T Wireless Mobile Multimedia Services. "The Tomb Raider franchise is one of the most recognized in the industry, and we're bringing it from the big screen to the phone screen. Building on our success with interactive 'Text TV,' we are transforming the wireless phone into a new kind of portable entertainment system. Working with leading media companies like Paramount, AT&T Wireless continues to bring customers the richest selection of entertainment services in the industry -- bar none."

"Together with AT&T Wireless, we are actively extending the Tomb Raider brand into the wireless phones of millions of people," said Lisa DiMarzio, senior vice president of worldwide marketing partnerships at Paramount. "To us, the real value is that consumers can carry around a little piece of Tomb Raider after they leave the movie theater, on a device that almost never leaves their side. The wireless phone is one of the next great frontiers for entrainment services, and we're proud to work with a pioneer like AT&T Wireless to bring our content to today's mobile society."
