Burst Media, one of the nation's oldest online advertising networks, has begun to offer advertisers NetStream, a PointRoll product designed to deliver streaming video ads within existing rich-media-enabled 300x250 ad units. This enables advertisers to use their existing video creative to extend their brand messaging to large targeted audiences within the Burst Network of 3,400 specialty-content sites.
"Burst intends to create as many different kinds of video opportunities for our publishers and advertisers as possible. Due to the diversity of content and publishers within the network, the NetStream solution enables advertisers to use their existing video assets as quickly as possible, and helps publishers run video ads when they may not have much discreet video inventory," says Bob Hanna, Burst's Senior Vice President, Sales. "NetStream ensures the most flexibility in targeting, optimization, and delivery, and further enhances Burst's ability to provide cutting-edge rich media capabilities to advertisers. We are proud to include PointRoll among our other vendor partnerships with Eyeblaster, Klipmart, and Viewpoint."
Netstream delivers video ads within existing rich-media-enabled 300x250 ad units and features a customizable player skin and an optional rich media companion or "leave behind" ad. Netstream will play within a stand-alone "player" within the 300x250 ad unit.
"Netstream reaches beyond the limitations of traditional in-stream advertising. This will enable Burst's advertisers to capitalize on the massive online video demand with a customized video player that further showcases their brand," says Rob Clark, VP Channel Development, PointRoll.
