The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA), the leading trade association for the global information technology (IT) industry, recently recognized 13 companies that have demonstrated creativity, innovation and leadership in the technology sector.
The 13 organizations were recognized with "best of show" awards at the CompTIA Breakaway 2006 and CT Summit conferences held earlier this month in Orlando, Fla. Award winners were selected based on the voting of some 300 VIP value-added resellers and technology solution providers who participated in the two conferences.
"Each year we use the occasion of our annual Breakaway and CT Summit conferences to recognize some of our industry's best and brightest," said John Venator, president and chief executive officer, CompTIA. "Our challenge gets greater each year as our industry continues to find new ways to use technology to change our lives for the better. The fact that these companies were singled out by their reseller partners for special recognition is testament to the quality of the products, services and solutions they are providing to their customers."
The overall Best of Show award was presented to Intel Corporation, the world leader in silicon innovation, and the developer of technologies, products, and initiatives to continually advance how people work and live.
