Event Radio, LLC Brings You the Action at the Indianapolis Air Show

Posted on: Thursday, 17 August 2006, 12:00 CDT

FORT WAYNE, Ind., Aug. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Want to hear the play-by-play at the Indianapolis Air Show, August 26-27, 2006, while you're away from the flight line? Now you don't have to miss the action -- just tune in your Event Radio earpiece.

Event Radio broadcasts play-by-play and multi-channel features on FM radio to wearers of its earpieces at large sporting events and other functions attended by large crowds. The devices, purchased on-site and sponsored by advertisers, are worn around the neck and are smaller than an MP3 player. Listeners can hear live play-by-play and other original event-specific programming within a limited broadcast signal area that covers only the event site.

"We will be broadcasting the official air show announcers during the event, but the beauty is that you can hear the announcements anywhere around the site," Tony Kohrman, President of Event Radio's parent company, Audio Visual Integration, Inc., said. "Many times because of the noise of the planes and the crowd, you can't hear the announcers -- with Event Radio you can regardless of where you are on the grounds."

The small radios are available for purchase for around $10, Kohrman said. In addition, Event Radio features original programming on neighboring channels. "Sponsors can have commercials and features on their company broadcast to listeners during a lull in the action," Kohrman said. "We can even broadcast important safety information and helpful hints, like where the bathrooms are located."

Event Radio has been used successfully at the recent LPGA Jamie Farr Classic in Toledo, Ohio and at the Oshkosh, Wisconsin air show last month. The company and its parent, Audio Visual Integration, Inc. are headquartered in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
