Posted on: Thursday, 17 August 2006, 18:00 CDT

Turbolinux, Inc., a global leader of Linux-based solutions, today announced a strategic relationship with Avanquest Software Publishing, a leading retail and online publisher of business and consumer software worldwide, to expand the global market for its Turbolinux OS product line.

In the initial phase of the new agreement, Avanquest will make Turbolinux Appliance Server 2.0(TLAS2), Turbolinux FUJI and Turbolinux 10 Server - the three main products of the Turbolinux line - available on Avanquest's "BlueSquad" software download site (http://www.bluesquad.com), an online store offering the newest and most innovative software for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) and personal use.

Under the agreement, Avanquest will make TLAS2 OS, a state-of-the art server OS launched in March, globally available for the first time. Avanquest will market the solution to small and medium-sized companies that don't have an IT specialist and also as a solution for the potential market of Sun Cobalt users.

Equipped with a Desktop Web management console based on Blue Quartz, TLAS2 enables easy set up of server settings and deployment of the Linux operating system.

With local operations in the U.S., France, UK, German, Italy and Spain, Avanquest Software Publishing offers developers a complete range of valuable software publishing resources and the ability to access global markets though its local publishing operations in more than a dozen countries. Avanquest gives developers preferential access to overseas markets by actively promoting software though email, pay per click, affiliate marketing and online promotions in multiple languages and countries. Avanquest even translates some of the top performing titles to the local language.
