Laurus Technologies' Kerrigan Hits the Ground Running With Business Applications Team

Posted on: Tuesday, 22 August 2006, 18:00 CDT

Laurus Technologies, a provider of technology solutions for the healthcare, university, financial, and manufacturing industries, today announced the first round of successes from its revitalized Business Applications Team.

The Business Applications Team, led by Vice President Mike Kerrigan, designs solutions for all critical business systems and adds value to a client's system with an unmatched level of dedication, experience, and subject matter authority. The team recently completed projects for a number of high profile ERP clients, including Leica Microsystems.

"With Mike at the helm, the Business Applications Team has delivered projects on time, on budget, and on target," says Laurus Technologies CEO John Udelhofen. "Mike knows more about SAP (TM) software than any other living human being, and his expertise has allowed Laurus to provide even more value to our clients."

As Vice President of the Business Applications Team, Kerrigan spearheaded a challenging global financial consolidation project for a major manufacturer. The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system currently in place at the manufacturer did not meet current reporting guidelines, was fractured and somewhat outdated, and tracked revenue by channel to market, rather than by individual product line. Not only was the Laurus team responsible for transitioning all aspects of the manufacturer's business to a new version of SAP, but new analytical tools were put into place to better allow management to track sales, and new modules were installed to better allow evaluation of available resources.

Kerrigan coordinated the global technical and functional teams for the manufacturer, evaluated the needs of the corporation to provide the most intelligent, cost effective solution, and coached executives through important decisions. He created an Executive Product Management Office to address issues as they arose, mentored the front line team, and delivered a new ERP system that not only met client expectations, but was on budget and on schedule. The new ERP system cutover occurred faster than expected, a result directly attributed to the expertise of Laurus Technologies' team by the manufacturer's representative.

In his role as head of the Business Applications Team at Laurus, Kerrigan counsels his clients on how to best optimize their investment in SAP. He works with each client's business and technical user communities to determine the ideal size of an SAP environment based upon customer needs. His knowledge enables Laurus Technologies' Business Applications Team to assist customers in the development a global roadmap of SAP optimization and implementation that takes into account the specific infrastructure that will be needed to support their business objectives.

Kerrigan brings many years of experience to the team at Laurus Technologies, including the implementation of more than 100 instances of SAP, experience as the CEO of an SAP "pure-play" implementation partner, and a track record as "SAP Partner of the Year" for three consecutive years.
