SSH Communications Security to Demonstrate SSH Tectia(TM) for IBM Z/OS With BMC Software CONTROL-M(R) for Secure File Transfers in Heterogeneous IT Environments at BMC UserWorld 2006

BMC USERWORLD, SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SSH Communications Security , a world-leading provider of enterprise security solutions and end-to-end communications security, and the original developer of the Secure Shell protocol, today announced that it will demonstrate seamless, secure file transfers among Multiple Virtual Storage (MVS), UNIX and Windows environments at BMC UserWorld 2006 by using SSH Tectia(TM) Server for IBM z/OS with BMC Software's CONTROL-M(R) integrated scheduling system.

BMC CONTROL-M/CM for Advanced File Transfer (AFT) provides business processing, chaining and scheduling logic, and transforms the CONTROL-M job scheduling system into a file transfer scheduling engine. Adding SSH Tectia, an enterprise suite of security solutions based on the award-winning SSH Secure Shell, ensures that file transfers are made with the most robust encryption and authentication available.

The SSH Tectia solution together with BMC Control-M AFT is an enterprise- level combination capable of transferring files from any system or host to- and-from the IBM z/OS mainframe "native" MVS area using Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) for automatic data conversion. The joint solution will provide true secure end-to-end communications.
