ATLANTA, Aug. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Sue Ellen Reager, CEO of @International Services, today announced the addition of Dr. Chester Anderson, a pioneer of speech technology and one of the most recognizable figures in the IVR and speech products industry, as President @International Services Software.
During his 25 years with AT&T and Bell Laboratories as Technical Marketing Director, Dr. Anderson was a catalyst in the development of "speech technology" -- the technology behind computer products that recognizes human speech, converts the sounds of that speech into text, and then answers with computerized voice generated from that text.
Dr. Anderson led the charge to turn speech technology from a research environment into marketable product, bringing to market the Watson speech recognition platform and the world famous AT&T text to speech engine. During his career, Dr. Anderson also held positions as Product Manager of System 25 PBX, generating over 1 billion dollars during its lifecycle, and COO of Speech Advantage.
Said Dr. Anderson, "I'm excited to be a part -- once again -- of world class technology innovation. Joining this company allows us to provide solutions to the growing needs of globalization for IVR, speech recognition and speech products."
GlobalConcat System Localizer, the invention by @International Services that attracted Dr. Anderson to the company, enables almost any computer application for 200 languages and dialects without changing code. Using GlobalConcat, products produce multi-language speech recognition, audio file playback, web text and screen text with natural flow and perfect grammar in almost all world languages.
