SkyPilot Networks Launches Channel Partner Program to Distribute Next-Generation Mesh Networking Solutions
Posted on: Tuesday, 5 September 2006, 09:00 CDT
SkyPilot Networks, the leading provider of carrier class mesh networks, today announced a program that will increase its ability to reach new customers and strengthen its value-added reseller (VAR) relationships. The AirPower Channel Partner Program will provide channel partners with access to the products, training, support and resources essential to deliver wireless mesh broadband network solutions to their customers. The program has signed up 49 new partners globally.
SkyPilot has entered into relationships with Winncom Technologies and TESSCO Technologies - leading value-added distributors of wireless infrastructure - to market and support its products in North and South America. "We are looking forward to the opportunities that the SkyPilot products provide for TESSCO and our customers," said Scott McClure, manager, broadband product division, TESSCO Technologies. "The ability to offer broadband service and Wi-Fi on a single platform fills the need to further expand the reach of mesh networks. With increased demand from municipalities, public safety agencies and service providers, the addition of SkyPilot products to our portfolio will allow TESSCO to offer a complete mesh networking solution."
Today's announcement plays an integral role in the go-to-market strategy of increasing market coverage through top wireless value-added distributors and system integrators.
AirPower Program
The AirPower Program offers VARs and integrators the most complete and scalable mesh solution for their customers' broadband infrastructures. As part of the program, partners are given the enhanced education and tools they need to sell and support these products.
"The AirPower Program is designed to allow SkyPilot channel partners to take advantage of the explosive growth being fueled by service providers and municipalities," said Frederick Harris, director of channels at SkyPilot Networks. "These organizations are seeking to build out multi-use networks in order to provide ubiquitous Wi-Fi and broadband access for economic development, public safety and improved government services. With a strong training program, technical support and sales relationships, we intend to make our partners successful."
AirPower Partner Program participants receive product discounts, qualified leads, priority technical support, and access to sales and marketing resources through the AirPower Partner Portal, SkyPilot's secure partner extranet. Companies wishing to join the AirPower Partner Program must have extensive experience engineering and deploying outdoor wireless networks and are required to complete SkyPilot technical training.
