Prominent Executives From Global Yellow Pages Industry to Headline The Kelsey Group's DDC2006 Conference This Month

PRINCETON, N.J., Sept. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- The Kelsey Group anticipates more than 450 executives representing every segment of the global Yellow Pages industry to attend this month's Directory Driven Commerce 2006 (DDC2006) conference, September 18-20, at the Hyatt Century Plaza in Los Angeles, California.
Since 1988 The Kelsey Group has held more than 30 conferences devoted to the print and electronic Yellow Pages business. This year, executives will gather to consider the future of Yellow Pages within the context of "Adapting to a Shifting Marketplace."
The three-day agenda will feature 50 speakers, including keynote addresses from five of the most influential executives in the global Yellow Pages community -- Dennis Payne, president and CEO, AT&T Directory Operations; Stuart McKelvey, CEO, TMP Directional Marketing; Ike Harris, president, Advertising & Publishing Group, BellSouth Corp.; Sieg Fischer, president and CEO of Valley Yellow Pages and current chairman of the board of the Association of Directory Publishers; and Paolo Cellini, executive vice president, Internet, Seat Pagine Gialle.
"Despite modest print growth, overall Yellow Pages remains very attractive," said Charles Laughlin, program director for The Kelsey Report(R) and DDC2006 conference chair. "We've asked our keynote speakers to make some predictions on where they see both print and electronic heading."
This week, The Kelsey Group released podcasts of pre-conference interviews with DDC2006 keynote speakers, offering a preview of the key themes to be examined during the upcoming event (listen online or download from http://www.kelseygroup.com/ddc2006).
An annual highlight of The Kelsey Group's Yellow Pages conference is the Leadership Panel, which offers a rare opportunity to learn from a who's who lineup of executives engaged in a frank and lively discussion of the most important topics facing the industry. This year's panel offers a new twist by featuring the "next generation" leaders of the industry. Panelists include David Dickinson, head of strategy, Telecom Directories Ltd.; Gordon Henry, chief marketing officer, Yellow Book; Sarah Pate, president and CEO, AdMission Corp.; and Justin Wong, director, strategic partner initiatives, Google.
Also on the conference program is new primary Kelsey Group research, including data from the latest wave of the Local Commerce Monitor(SM), a tracking study conducted jointly by The Kelsey Group and ConStat. Since the first wave in 1999, LCM has become a key industry barometer of local advertiser behavior. The study asks local businesses how they invest in technology to promote and manage their businesses, how they allocate their media budgets and what their expectations are for future activities to attract customers.
The Kelsey Group's annual Yellow Pages conference is recognized as the definitive event on the future of the industry. DDC2006 sponsors include
