Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Selects Finisar’s NetWisdom
Finisar Corp. (NASDAQ: FNSR), a leading provider of network performance tools and fiber optic subsystems, announced today that the prestigious Cedars-Sinai Medical Center has selected Finisar’s NetWisdom storage area network (SAN) analysis solution to help monitor and maintain its crucial SAN infrastructure.
Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is an 877-bed acute care academic teaching hospital affiliated with University of California School of Medicine. With more than 2,000 practicing physicians from a wide range of specialized backgrounds, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center offers patients a variety of professional care options and services.
Cedars-Sinai is using Finisar’s NetWisdom SAN traffic monitoring system to proactively monitor and maintain the performance and health of its SAN. According to Spencer Soohoo, chief technical officer (CTO) at Cedars-Sinai, the medical center was having difficulty finding the exact cause of problems in its SAN in a timely way which was resulting in application slow-downs of applications and system availability issues.
