Local Business Owners Open First Dippin' Dots(R) Store in San Jose

SAN JOSE, Calif., Sept. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Local Dippin' Dots storeowners are celebrating the opening of their first location this weekend.

The San Jose store, which is located in Willow Glenn Plaza, will celebrate its grand opening this Saturday, Sept. 9.

This is the first Dippin' Dots location for franchisees Rick and Tracey Kupfer. It's also the first Dippin' Dots store located in San Jose.

The San Jose store features more than two-dozen flavors of Dippin' Dots ice cream, sherbet, yogurt and flavored ice. In addition, the new store offers Dot Delicacies, a product line that includes Dippin' Dots ice cream cakes and Dotwich ice cream sandwiches.

Dippin' Dots(R) are tiny, cryogenically frozen beads of ice cream, yogurt, sherbet and flavored ice. Invented in 1988 by microbiologist and entrepreneur Curt Jones, Dippin' Dots(R) offers more than 20 different flavors, plus seasonal flavors. The company's administrative and production headquarters are located in Paducah, Kentucky. Dippin' Dots(R) are sold in more than 250 retail locations and thousands of entertainment venues and special events nationwide. The company's Global division oversees licensees in nine countries.
