Major Network Equipment Manufacturer Selects Digital Lightwave NIC Plus in Support of Next Generation Network Testing

Digital Lightwave(R), Inc. (Nasdaq:DIGL), a leading provider of optical networking technology and test instruments, today announced that Cisco has selected the NIC(R) Plus in support of Next Generation Network (NGN) testing needs. Cisco has purchased Digital Lightwave products over a six-year span, most recently selecting the advanced testing capabilities of the NIC Plus to fulfill T-Carrier, SONET, SDH, OTN, ATM and Ethernet testing requirements.

Cisco equipment encompasses the complete capabilities of today's network from the enterprise to the core. The NIC Plus offers T-Carrier, SONET, SDH, OTN, ATM and Ethernet test capabilities in a single unit, making it a superior fit for today's leading network equipment manufacturers. Cisco is leveraging initial Digital Lightwave product investment by advancing to the latest and most efficient technologies offered in the NIC Plus platform.
