AT&T Announces New Contract With Dade County Federal Credit Union

MIAMI, Sept. 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AT&T Inc. today announced a new contract with Dade County Federal Credit Union (DCFCU) to provide hosting and disaster recovery services to all 11 branch locations and 28 ATM sites. DCFCU is a member-owned financial cooperative, serving residents of Miami-Dade County.
Under the terms of the contract, AT&T will deliver AT&T Data Center Hosting and disaster recovery services to DCFCU. Together, these services will allow DCFCU to use AT&T's secure data center in Orlando for additional backup of the company's mission-critical information, such as customer financial records. DCFCU will also be able to replicate its data for greater security and disaster recovery.
This solution, and its alignment with AT&T's customer-focused convergence strategy, provides added redundancy and reliability to the network, enabling DCFCU to realize enhanced data security and always-available network access for improved customer service.
"Our company is located in a hurricane zone, so we needed a reliable back- up solution to ensure constant access to our customers' financial records in the event of a severe tropical storm or hurricane," said Marla Ferreira, vice president of asset management for Dade County Federal Credit Union. "The solution provided by AT&T will allow us to have consistent access to customer records, allowing us to continue service in the event that we lose power at our primary location. We're dedicated to serving our customers 24-hours a day."
