Apcon TITAN Software Simplifies Control of Physical Layer Switches

(http://www.apcon.com/), the worldwide leader of physical layer switches and software, released TITAN network management software, a client/server application that manages multiple IntellaPatch physical layer switches, network devices, and lab resources. TITAN software controls connectivity of network elements and management of third party devices through a Graphical User Interface and a Command Line Interface for scripting.

TITAN software provides intuitive, device-to-device connections, delivered with unparalleled speed, simplicity and efficiency. By simply dragging-and- dropping network device icons onto a virtual canvas (similar to graphics programs such as Visio), users can create individual device connections or a series of connected devices (called a topology). Topologies can be saved, recalled and shared increasing the repeatability of network and lab infrastructures.

With TITAN software, users easily connect multiple Physical Layer Switches together, creating a larger virtual switch matrix. These inter-switch connections are transparent to the user, regardless of the number of chassis connected together.

TITAN's user-friendly GUI enables device-to-device connections using intuitive device icons and a comprehensive virtual template. TITAN delineates the process for connecting devices by removing the requirement for mapping connections through individual ports. TITAN software's proprietary algorithms automatically route the most efficient connection path through the virtual switch matrix.
