Globecomm Systems Awarded Contracts for Multiple Auto-Explorer Portable Satellite Terminals From Two U.S. Government Agencies Valued at $2.6 Million

Globecomm Systems Inc. (NASDAQ:GCOM), a global provider of end-to-end satellite-based communications solutions, today announced that the Company has received contracts for multiple Auto-Explorer portable satellite terminals from two U.S. Government agencies valued at $2.6 million.

Globecomm's Auto-Explorer line of mobile earth stations with integrated electronics are suited to a wide variety of military, institutional, newsgathering, enterprise and other applications, in sizes ranging from sub-meter up to 1.5m. All Auto-Explorers are Internet Protocol (IP)-enabled to accept optional routers and IP satellite optimized solutions. The Auto-Acquisition and Terminal Management Software is designed to allow operation of the terminals by personnel with little or no communications or satellite communications experience. The terminals can receive IP data rates ranging from 64 kbps to 18.2 Mbps and send IP data rates ranging from 64 kbps to 8.4 Mbps.

These contracts are for various quantities of the 0.77m and 1.2m versions, including related hub equipment. The Company expects to complete full shipment of these terminals and associated hardware in the current fiscal year ending June 30, 2007.
